How to Build a Gabion Wall

Build gabion baskets on a firm, compacted sub-base — ideally MOT Type 1 — to prevent settling. Hand-pick stone for the visible ‘face’ to create a flush, neat finish, then backfill the void behind with the remaining stone. All our gabion stone is graded in accordance with industry guidelines.
